Needs Analysis

Through interviews, we gather information pertinent to the project, business process, and work
flow. We also inventory the available hardware and software in order to assure that systems will benefit the user.
This includes examining network configurations and appraisal of the current GIS database.
SDSFIE & Custom Database Design

Our staff has been part of the development of the Spatial Data Standards (SDS) published by
the CADD/GIS Technology Center, Vicksburg, MS. This data standard has evolved into a robust spatial data schema
since 1993 and is becoming the Federal Spatial Data Standard. If the SDS does not suit your needs, we can work
with you to define a database specific to your requirement.
Data Development, Field Verification, & Electronic Validation

We collect on-site infrastructure data using GPS equipment, hard-copy maps and other related
information. We then establish a common coordinate plane to create more accurate mapping. Using specialized tools,
the topological data are cleaned up and prepared for GIS use.
Application Development

Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software can be streamlined using custom
interfaces that are easy to remember and bring the most utilized toolsets to the forefront of production. We can create
applications for PDAs, Notepad, and other devices.
Custom GIS/CADD Applications

Typically software is written to satisfy as many users and user requirements as possible.
As a result, shrink wrapped software may satisfy your needs, but because of the myriad options, it can be burdensome
to use. Also, shrink wrapped software does not satisfy every possible need. Our staff can customize your
CAD/GIS software so it better suits your needs. Our staff is trained and experienced in several programming
languages including VB, VBA, Java, JMDL, and Avenue.
Automate Standard Process & Product Generation

We will help you identify the standard tasks that are best suited for automation. Often when a
new tool is introduced into the traditional way of doing business, procedures will need adjusting; the
primary adjustment is to maximizing the tool in order to get the greatest return on your investment. In a
world of do more with less, maximizing your GIS is critical.
Re-Engineer & Optimize Data

Having large data sets is not necessarily a sign of lots of data. Depending on collection
techniques and processing during development, data can become inefficient. Although hardware is getting faster,
software is getting better, and storage is getting cheaper, time is money. An inefficient data set will cost
you time, will require faster hardware, and will require more storage. We can help you trim, clean and
optimize your data.
Training
We offer training for our very own Spatial Data Retrieval System.
We also offer the ESRI Introduction to ArcGIS I course.
