Minimum/General Experience:

• Two (2) years of technical experience in performing software conversions, conducting analysis of data and constructing code with emphasis in the area of geographic information systems.
• Demonstrates the ability to integrate numerous high level programming languages into the operations of remote sensing and GIS packages.
• Experienced in performing scale and projection changes, attributes assessment and assignment and geospatial query.
• The technical experience should also include GIS database query, intersecting of data themes, buffering data based on complex criteria, and supports data translation.

Functional Responsibilities:

• Supports design and implementation of GIS projects, GIS applications for the Internet, spatial analysis and modeling.
• Identifies, procures, and manages new sources of spatial data for client projects.
• Maintains the ability to generate hard and soft copy output.
• Provides quality control of GIS data and identifies anomalies in data as they relate to technical production of map and thematic data.

Minimum Education:

• Bachelor of Science/Arts Degree in Engineering, Geography or other Science.
